I’m a bit miffed that the studios can’t seem to come up with anything original, however, part of me is happy to see more westerns  being considered.  Here’s hoping that do a good job!

New Episode of Bloody Gulch

Well, it's about time!  A new episode of Bloody Gulch is on the way to production.  We're scheduled to begin shooting the weekend of July 9 – 10 (with a backup/overshoot weekend of July 16 – 17).  It's been a long time coming and we appreciate all those who helped us before, and those who are going to help us this time. 

We'll have photos and short videos posted as soon as production begins.

“Hell on Wheels”

In March of this year, the show Hell on Wheels, a Western set during the building of the Transcontinental Railroad, started shooting in Alberta. The series is AMC’s latest foray into Big Television — ten episodes have been ordered to begin telling the story of a man seeking to avenge the death of his wife at the hands of Union soldiers.

Kevin Jarre Dies at 56

Kevin Jarre, the writer of "Tombstone" and other greats, like "Glory" has passed away of heart failure at the age of 56.  His talent will be missed.

Looks like there’s a new western on the horizon from Warner Brothers – “Wild Guns”.  It’s touted to be a cross between “Tombstone” and “Sherlock Holmes”.  Check it out here.

The First Ride of Wyatt Earp

Val Kilmer is returning to the Wild West, playing the title role in indie Western “The First Ride of Wyatt Earp.”

Based on a true story, pic finds an elderly Earp sitting down with a reporter to reflect on the ride that made him a legend, when the young marshal rounded up a posse to track down the outlaw who mistakenly murdered the woman he loved.
